I recently had the joy of documenting a heartwarming newborn photography session in a home near beautiful Utah Lake, as a trusted Utah County newborn photographer. What made this session truly special was not only the stunning moments I captured but also the unique opportunity to photograph newborn girl cousins who looked like twins. The session took place at the mother's sister's house in Eagle Mountain, providing a cozy and intimate setting that added an extra layer of comfort to the photographs. Newborn sessions that take place in clients' homes have always held a special place in my heart. It allows me to witness the genuine connection between family members and capture authentic moments in a familiar and relaxed environment. This session was no exception, as I had the privilege of photographing not only the newborn I was primarily focusing on but also her cousin who was born just four weeks earlier. The resemblance between the two cousins was adorable, and it was an absolute delight to capture their bond through photographs that showcased their connection as newborn girl cousins who looked almost like twins.
As a Utah County newborn photographer, I believe in the importance of creating a personal and comfortable experience for my clients. Conducting sessions in their own homes allows me to capture the true essence of their lives and incorporate meaningful elements into the photographs. Being able to visit my clients in their homes and witness the love and joy that fills their spaces is a privilege I deeply cherish. Photographing newborns is a celebration of new life, love, and family bonds. It is a reminder of the precious moments that pass by so quickly. The opportunity to freeze those fleeting moments through photography and provide families with images they will treasure for a lifetime is incredibly fulfilling. If you are in Utah County and looking for a newborn photographer who values personal connections, genuine moments, and capturing the beauty of your growing family, I would be honored to be a part of your journey. This was my last session before the quarantine happened. I'm so glad we were able to do it about two weeks before the quarantine made everything crazy. I met these two adorable twin baby girls at their home in Santa Clara at the end of February. I haven't been had the opportunity to photograph twins since I took my nieces' photos so I was super excited to do this session. The older two sisters just loved their new little twin sisters. And the two year old was remarkably well behaved for her age, something nice to have to make my job a little easier. And oh boy, let me tell you: their mama is a rock star! She delivered her twins at home at 39 (and closer to 40!) weeks gestation. Wow! And you could never tell by how stunning she looks! Simply amazing!
One twin was more interested in sleeping than the other, but that's usually how it goes right? They're still both so cute! Do you see the crocheted pea pod? That was a prop that the mom pulled out and asked to use in the session. I was dying from how cute they were in it; two peas in a pod! Happy birthday baby girls!! Today is a very special day in our family; today is my nieces' 1st birthday and so in honor their birthday I wanted to post their newborn photos that I was able to take with them about a year ago. After they were born my one year old daughter (the older kids stayed at home with dad because they had school) and I flew out of our home here in California to see these baby girls and to help out my husband's brother and sister in law with their new life caring for twins for about a week. That meant I got lots of cuddle time and we took LOTS of photos! I just love the blue and pink flower wraps that their mom had for us to use; aren't the matching bows just amazing! They matched my Luisa Dunn floral backdrops perfectly!! Happy birthday sweeties!! Last December I was able to photograph my first set of boy twins! They were just so cute, especially with their little Santa hats for Christmas that were a crocheted gift to their family. I was also able to try out some new floral design with the twins which I am super excited to offer now. Since photographing twins is twice the work I recruited my friend Nathalie to help me out with these little guys. She is a family, newborn and fashion photographer and although she's currently expecting her third child she's still doing a few projects (at least for a little while). She's fab! |
